A Workplace Shaped by Many Cultures

At Carly, we’re proud to be a team of around 70 people representing 34 different nationalities.
While our backgrounds, languages, traditions, and experiences may differ, we are united by a common goal: building great products, supporting one another, and making an impact together.

So, how does a team representing 34 nationalities turn its diversity into one of its greatest strengths?

There is no single answer. Instead, it’s reflected in the many ways we create opportunities to learn from one another, share our traditions, and celebrate the experiences that make each of us unique. Over time, these moments help foster an environment where international perspectives are not only welcomed, but genuinely valued.

Having an international team is about much more than numbers. Every person brings unique perspectives shaped by their culture, education, professional journey, and life experiences. These differences help us approach challenges from multiple angles, spark new ideas, and make better decisions. The diversity of thought within our teams encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous learning.

Working in such an environment also gives us the opportunity to grow beyond our own perspectives. We learn from one another every day, whether through collaboration on projects, casual conversations over coffee, or sharing traditions from our home countries. Being open-minded, curious, and respectful of different viewpoints helps us build stronger relationships and creates a culture where everyone can contribute their best work.

At the same time, we never lose sight of what connects us. While our stories may be different, we all share the same purpose and work toward the same goals. This balance between celebrating our differences and staying united as one team is what makes our culture special.

We celebrate what makes us different and connect through what brings us together.

A Monthly Journey Around the World: Cultural Pitstop

One of our favorite traditions is our monthly Cultural Pitstop. Each month, a team member has the opportunity to present their country or region and share the things that make it unique.

These sessions often take us on a journey through breathtaking landscapes, iconic architecture, local traditions, famous historical figures, and cultural phenomena. We also get a glimpse into regional cuisines and everyday life, learning things we might never have discovered otherwise.

Beyond being educational, Cultural Pitstops help us better understand one another and appreciate the richness of our diverse community. They have even become a source of travel inspiration! Many of us revisit previous presentations when planning our next holiday destination.

From travel tips to family recipes, every shared experience helps make our workplace feel a little more connected.

Bringing the World to Our Kitchen

As a team of self-proclaimed foodies, it’s no surprise that food plays an important role in how we connect. That’s why we organize our International Breakfast and International Afternoon Tea events every quarter.

Participation is completely voluntary, and anyone who would like to join can bring a favorite dish, snack, or treat from their country, something they would typically enjoy to start the day or share with friends and family.

Our kitchen quickly transforms into a global tasting experience filled with warm, comforting flavors, new culinary discoveries, and plenty of conversations. From homemade specialties to beloved national classics, every dish comes with a story. These gatherings give us the chance to learn more about each other’s cultures, traditions, and memories while exploring flavors from around the world.

Of course, there is always plenty of laughter along the way. What starts as a shared meal often turns into conversations about family traditions, childhood memories, travel experiences, and cultural customs. It’s a simple but meaningful reminder that while we come from different places, there is so much we can learn from one another.

But the culinary exploration doesn’t stop there. We also have a lovely tradition of bringing back local snacks and treats from our travels to share with colleagues.

Whether it’s a favorite sweet discovered on holiday, a regional specialty from someone’s hometown, or a snack picked up during a weekend getaway, these little culinary souvenirs often spark conversations, curiosity, and plenty of recommendations for future trips. What starts as a simple tasting frequently turns into stories about family traditions, cultural customs, and memorable experiences from around the world.

Stronger Together

Our international community is one of Carly’s greatest strengths. The diversity of experiences, perspectives, and ideas within our team helps us innovate, learn, and grow together every day.

By staying curious, open-minded, and united around a shared purpose, we create an environment where everyone can thrive. And whether we’re collaborating on a project, attending a Cultural Pitstop, or sharing a meal from our home country, we’re constantly reminded that our differences don’t divide us, they make us stronger.

Because at Carly, being international isn’t just something we celebrate. It’s part of who we are.
